Roth Conversion Quiz
Welcome to LSF Capital's Roth Conversion Navigator
A few questions, then a plain-English explanation of how Roth conversions work. This is general education, not tax or investment advice.
How a Roth conversion works
A Roth conversion moves money from a pre-tax account, such as a traditional IRA, into a Roth IRA. You generally pay income tax on the amount you convert in the year you convert it.
Whether it fits depends on your tax bracket now and later, how you would pay the tax, and when you expect to need the money. Each conversion also has its own five-year rule. A tax professional can look at your own situation.
